My passion for photography started when I was just a child. I was immensely curious about an old 136 camera that I had found lying around the house. I persuaded my grandmother to buy film for it, and then went out and took pictures of anything and everything. I can't even begin to imagine how much money my grandmother spent developing all of my photos. I also can't even begin to thank her for setting me out upon this wonderful journey.

My curiosity grew to become my hobby. At the age of 12, my grandfather purchased a Canon AE1 35 mm SLR, a camera that I still have to this very day. From the very first moment I saw his camera, I knew I was hooked. I used to sneak his camera out and experiment with angles, lighting, and composition. As the years flew by my abilities with a camera grew. By the age of 16, I began to realize that I had "a good eye". It was as if photography came second nature to me.

Through the years I have continued this passion for photography. Countless friends, family, and even perfect strangers have encouraged me to see that picture taking is more than just a hobby. It is my gift. And it this gift which I wish to share with you. This is why I've started DeJohn Photography.

My love and passion for Photography developed out of my love for art. As a child, I could sit in front of a tree, drawing every detail of each branch and leaf for hours.

Through Marks' passion for Photography mine started to grow. I used to think I would miss out on things if I was behind the camera, however I have learned that not only do I not miss out on anything, I am actually able to capture moments that others miss.

My goal is to capture the moments in time that people with cherish for a lifetime.

Together, Mark and I make a great team, with two different unique styles that merge together to create a unique experience for each client.
